The ISCAR 5622528 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision edge-breaking and chamfering operations on metalworking applications. It features a 0.375-inch diameter with a 0.937-inch length of cut and a 0.012-inch chamfer width. The 5-flute geometry provides a strong cutting edge with improved surface finish at higher feed rates. A TiAlN coating delivers heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous materials. The 38-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This end mill is a single-end design with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting action. It is sized and configured for CNC machining centers and manual milling operations in job shop and production environments.
This tool is suited for chamfering and corner-breaking on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous workpiece materials. It is commonly used in shops producing precision components where consistent edge geometry is required before finishing or assembly. The 0.375-inch shank diameter and 3-inch overall length make it compatible with standard ER and precision collet holders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Machinists and CNC operators working on close-tolerance parts will find the 5-flute count and TiAlN coating well matched to moderate-to-high spindle speeds.
Designed as a standard-shank solid carbide corner chamfer end mill fitting 3/8-inch collet holders and end mill holders used across common CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the collet or end mill holder to the recommended gauge-line depth before tightening. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before tool changes. Verify runout with a dial indicator after mounting to protect both the tool and workpiece from premature wear or dimensional error.
