The ISCAR 5622439 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built to the ECI-E4-CF series with an IC900 material grade and an AlTiN PVD coating, this tool delivers thermal and wear resistance when cutting steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. The cutter measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 1.25-inch length of cut, a 4-inch overall length, and a 45-degree chamfer angle at a 0.024-inch chamfer width. Four helical flutes at a 38-degree helix angle with variable index geometry support both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. A Weldon flat shank provides positive anti-pullout retention in standard end mill holders.
This end mill is suited for vertical machining centers and CNC milling operations where shouldering, slotting, ramp-down entry, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging or recessing are required. The extended-reach geometry with a 1.70-inch reach length and a 0.024-inch neck diameter allows access into deeper pockets and features without interference. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. Secondary applications cover non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make this a conventional setup for most CNC spindle configurations.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the Weldon flat against the set screw in the holder and torque per the tool holder manufacturer specifications to prevent pullout under load. Verify runout after clamping before beginning a cut. Confirm feeds, speeds, and depth-of-cut parameters in the machine control against ISCAR published cutting data for the IC900 grade before engaging the workpiece.
