The ISCAR 5622437 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. It features a 0.5 inch diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.02 inch chamfer width. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection during demanding cuts. With four helical flutes, a variable index geometry, and an extended reach design, this tool handles shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing operations. It is part of the ECI-E4-CF series and carries material grade IC900.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, and cast iron as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The extended reach and 1.5 inch reach length make it effective in deep-pocket and restricted-access applications. It is a single-end tool with a right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction, appropriate for conventional CNC milling centers in both roughing and finishing operations. The Weldon flat shank ensures secure tool holding in compatible collets and end mill holders.
Designed for use in CNC milling applications involving steel, stainless steel, and cast iron as primary materials, and non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as secondary materials. ISCAR catalog reference: ECI-E4L500-1.0/1.5W500CF.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before mounting. Torque the Weldon flat set screw against the flat on the shank per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut cycle.
