The ISCAR 5622432 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance material removal in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. Part of the ISCAR ECI-E4-CF series, it carries an AlTiN (TiAlN) PVD coating and features a 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.01 inch chamfer width. The 4-flute, single-end geometry with a 38-degree medium helix and variable index provides both roughing and finishing capability in a single tool. Centercutting construction and extended reach make this mill suitable for demanding applications requiring plunging, slotting, or helical interpolation. It is installed and used by machinists and tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Typical applications include shouldering, slotting, rampdown, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing. The extended-reach design with a 3/4 inch reach length supports work in deeper pockets or restricted-access features. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER collet chucks and side-lock holders common in CNC machining centers and manual mills.

This end mill is installed by machinists using standard ER collet chucks or side-lock tool holders compatible with a 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Verify spindle runout and tool holder concentricity before use, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tooling torque and clamping. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use and do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the selected workpiece material.
