The ISCAR 5622179 is an end replaceable milling tip in the Multimaster MM EFS series, designed for use with compatible Multimaster modular milling tool holders. Built from sub-micrograin carbide in ISCAR grade IC908 with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, this tip delivers high cutting performance across a broad range of workpiece materials. It carries a 0.500-inch cutting width, a maximum depth of cut of 0.370 inches, and a functional length of 0.650 inches. The 4-flute geometry with a 45-degree helix and 90-degree lead angle is suited to finishing and semi-finishing operations where surface quality and tool life are priorities. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists install and qualify this tip.
This replaceable tip is designed for end milling applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H. The 90-degree lead angle supports full-width shoulder milling and general-purpose end milling. The right-hand cut orientation and common chipbreaker geometry make this tip a standard-duty workhorse in both job-shop and production environments. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 2.
Designed for use with ISCAR Multimaster modular tool holders accepting the MM EFS .500B37 insert size. Verify holder compatibility against the ISCAR Multimaster catalog before ordering.
Replaceable milling tips in the Multimaster system are installed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians using the appropriate ISCAR torque key for the specific holder; do not use standard hex keys. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a locked-out, tagged-out state before swapping tips. Inspect the mating threads and seating surfaces on the holder for chips or damage before installing a new tip. Follow the tool manufacturer's assembly procedure to achieve proper seating torque without over-tightening.
