The ISCAR 5622124 is a corner radius end replaceable milling tip designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Built from sub-micrograin carbide with an IC908 manufacturer grade and a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, this insert delivers consistent edge integrity across a wide range of workpiece materials. It carries a 0.500-inch cutting width, a 0.374-inch maximum depth of cut, and a 4-flute, right-hand configuration. The 45-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation, while the 90-degree lead angle suits shoulder milling operations. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists working in production or job-shop environments are the primary installers of this tip.
This milling tip is built for use in MM EC-4 series Multimaster tooling systems. It suits applications involving steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H. With a 0.062-inch corner radius, it handles both finishing and semi-finishing passes where controlled edge geometry is critical. The 0.650-inch functional length and 0.650-inch overall length make it appropriate for compact tooling assemblies where extension from holder is fixed at 0.650 inches.
Designed for use with ISCAR Multimaster MM EC-4 series tooling systems. Insert size designation is .500B37R062. Milling tip full description reference: MM EC.500B37R062-4T08.
Installation of replaceable milling tips should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a locked-out, de-energized state before seating or removing any insert. Use the appropriate ISCAR Multimaster torque key to seat the tip to the holder interface — do not use improvised tools that could damage the mating surfaces. Verify correct seating and tip orientation before resuming cutting operations.
