The ISCAR 5621806 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 0.315-inch (8.00 mm) mill diameter, a 0.8465-inch length of cut, and three spiral flutes cut in a right-hand direction with a 45-degree helix angle. The fine-grain carbide substrate provides edge integrity during moderate to aggressive passes. This is a single-end tool with a straight cylindrical shank, suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where close-tolerance slotting, profiling, or peripheral milling is required on aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials.
This end mill is intended for non-ferrous metal applications in job shop, production, and maintenance machining environments. The 45-degree helix promotes efficient chip evacuation, which is particularly important when cutting aluminum and other gummy materials that tend to load flutes. The straight cylindrical shank mounts in standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic chucks. It is appropriate for horizontal and vertical milling setups where a regular-length tool provides adequate reach without sacrificing rigidity.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully within the tool holder to the recommended grip length before torquing the retention mechanism according to the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify spindle runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish. This tool is non-centercutting and must be ramped or helically interpolated into the workpiece rather than plunged axially.
