The ISCAR 5621331 is a carbide end replaceable milling tip in the Multimaster MM EC-4 series, designed for modular milling tool systems used in production machining environments. The tip features four flutes with a 45-degree helix angle and a 90-degree lead angle, producing a 0.500 inch cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 0.374 inches. It is manufactured from sub-micrograin carbide with an IC908 manufacturer grade and coated via PVD with a TiAlN finish for extended tool life across demanding material groups. Installation and changeover are handled by machining professionals and CNC tooling specialists in job shop and production settings.
This milling tip is suited for right-hand cutting operations across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The MM EC-4 Multimaster interface allows the tip to mount directly onto compatible Multimaster shanks and holders, making it applicable in both roughing and finishing passes where controlled depth of cut and repeatable runout are required. It carries no chipbreaker geometry and has no coolant-through capability, making it best suited for applications where external coolant or dry cutting is standard practice.
Designed for use with ISCAR Multimaster MM EC-4 series modular shank holders accepting the 0.500B37R000 insert size interface. Compatible workpiece materials include steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), non-ferrous metals (N), superalloys and titanium (S), and hard materials (H) per ISO material group designations.
This tip is installed and replaced by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Before tip changeover, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped, locked out, and the tool assembly is secured in a holder or vise to prevent rotation during torquing. Use only the correct Multimaster torque wrench specified for the shank size to avoid damaging the mating threads. Inspect the mating surface of the holder for chips or debris before seating the new tip.
