The ISCAR 5621262 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The 4-flute, right-hand helical design with a medium helix angle delivers a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. This tool is used primarily in CNC machining centers by machinists and tooling technicians working in job shops, production facilities, and aerospace manufacturing environments.
This end mill is suited for roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The single-end, straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits standard toolholders and collet chucks. The medium length designation and 3 inch overall length make it appropriate for general-purpose cavity milling, contouring, and profiling where reach requirements are moderate. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry when required by the operation.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Verify toolholder bore cleanliness and confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's torque specifications for the collet nut or set screw.
