The ISCAR 5621009 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. With a 1/2-inch cutting diameter, a 1-inch length of cut, and a 55-degree helix angle, this tool delivers aggressive chip evacuation and stable cutting performance in demanding shop environments. The fine-grain carbide substrate provides edge retention and resistance to micro-chipping. At 3 inches overall length with a 1/2-inch straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Installation and operation are performed by machinists and tool and die professionals.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar workpiece materials. The 2-flute configuration at a 55-degree helix promotes efficient chip removal in high-speed applications, reducing heat buildup and improving surface finish. The spiral flute geometry and right-hand cut with right-hand flute make it a standard configuration for conventional and climb milling passes. Its regular-length classification makes it appropriate for general pocket milling, slotting, and profile milling in production and job shop settings.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with standard 1/2-inch collet chucks or end mill holders. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal. Not intended for ferrous or hardened steel applications without verification of suitability.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Secure the shank fully in the collet or end mill holder and torque the drawbar or collet nut per the machine tool manufacturer specifications before operation. Confirm spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cut geometry before engaging the workpiece. Because this tool is non-centercutting, use ramping or helical entry toolpaths rather than direct axial plunge moves.
