The ISCAR 5621002 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal removal in demanding machining applications. With a 0.625-inch cutting diameter, 6-flute geometry, and a 45-degree helix angle, this tool delivers high feed rates and superior surface finishes on a wide range of workpiece materials. The TiAlN finish provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-speed dry or near-dry cutting conditions. The submicron grain carbide substrate adds toughness and wear resistance. Installed by machinists and toolroom technicians, this end mill is a direct fit for CNC machining centers and manual knee mills running production or prototype work.
This end mill is suited for milling hardened steels, stainless steels, cast irons, non-ferrous materials, and high-temperature alloys, as indicated by its primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S. The 1.25-inch length of cut and 3.5-inch overall length make it appropriate for standard-depth slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The straight-cylindrical shank provides positive retention in standard ER collets, side-lock holders, and shrink-fit toolholding systems. This is a single-end, non-centercutting tool intended for side-milling and profiling rather than direct plunge operations.
Rated for workpiece material categories H (hardened steel), K (cast iron), M (stainless steel), P (steel), and S (high-temperature alloys and titanium). Fits any toolholder accepting a 0.625-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Because this tool is non-centercutting, use a ramping or helical interpolation entry strategy rather than direct axial plunge to avoid tool damage.
