The ISCAR 5620963 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance metal cutting in demanding machining applications. Built to IC900 material grade, this single-end tool features six flutes with a 45-degree right-hand helix, providing smooth chip evacuation and superior surface finish on a wide range of workpiece materials. The cutting diameter is 0.375 inches with a 1.5-inch length of cut, and the tool measures 4 inches overall. A TiAlN coating increases heat resistance and extends tool life in high-speed and dry-cutting environments. Installation and operation are performed by machinists and CNC operators working in precision metal fabrication shops.
This end mill is classified as a long-series tool, making it suitable for applications that require extended reach into deeper cavities, pockets, or slots. The straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 0.375 inches fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers, as well as manual milling machines. The right-hand cutting direction is conventional for most CNC milling operations. Compatible workpiece material codes include H, K, M, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, and high-temperature superalloys. The spiral flute geometry promotes consistent chip flow during slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling passes.
Designed for use on workpiece materials coded H, K, M, P, and S, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, and high-temperature superalloys. Fits standard 3/8-inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC and manual milling machines.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers. Secure the shank fully within the collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Because this end mill is non-center-cutting, do not use it for direct plunge cuts — ramp or helical entry paths are required for pocket starts. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against the manufacturer cutting data for IC900 grade tooling before beginning the operation.
