The ISCAR 5620952 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built to ISCAR material grade IC900, this single-end tool features a 4-flute, right-hand spiral flute configuration with a 45-degree helix angle and a TiAlN coating for extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The 1/4-inch diameter and 0.625-inch length of cut make it well suited for finishing passes, slotting, and profiling in tight-tolerance workpieces. Machining professionals and tool-and-die shops rely on this geometry for consistent chip evacuation and surface finish. The straight-cylindrical shank allows direct mounting in standard collets or end mill holders.
This end mill is rated for use across a broad range of workpiece material groups, including hardened steels (H), cast irons (K), stainless steels (M), steels (P), and heat-resistant superalloys (S). Its regular-length profile suits general-purpose vertical and horizontal milling setups on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The non-centercutting design means plunge operations should be avoided; the tool is optimized for peripheral and side milling passes. It is sold as a single unit.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Ensure the collet or holder bore is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Torque the collet nut to the holder manufacturer specification using the appropriate spanner wrench. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish.
