The ISCAR 5620950 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter and a 45-degree helix angle, this single-end tool delivers clean, aggressive cuts across a range of workpiece materials. The four-flute spiral configuration and TiAlN coating provide thermal resistance and extended tool life under high-speed cutting conditions. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 3/8 inch length of cut, it is suited for tight-tolerance finishing and profiling passes where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are critical. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers specify this geometry for applications requiring consistent surface finish in hard and abrasive materials.
This end mill is rated for use across multiple workpiece material categories, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon steels, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, P, and S. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1/8 inch in diameter, fitting standard collet toolholding systems on CNC mills and machining centers. The ISCAR IC900 material grade substrate is engineered for high-heat resistance, making it appropriate for dry or minimal-lubricant machining strategies in production environments.
Rated for workpiece materials in categories H, K, M, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon and alloy steels, and high-temperature superalloys. Fits any standard 1/8 inch collet or toolholder on CNC vertical or horizontal machining centers.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician using a properly sized collet or precision toolholder torqued to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout at the cutting edge before initiating a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate parameters against the material being machined before engaging the tool. Do not exceed the stated length of cut range of 0.3000 to 0.5000 inches to avoid tool deflection or premature breakage.
