The ISCAR 5620887 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 3/16-inch cutting diameter, 3/8-inch length of cut, and a 38-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and consistent surface finishes across a range of workpiece materials. The three-flute geometry balances rigidity and chip clearance, making it well-suited for slotting, profiling, and plunging operations. A TiAlN coating extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/16 inches in diameter, and the overall tool length is 2 inches, fitting standard collet chucks and tool holders used in CNC machining centers.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC milling operations across ferrous and non-ferrous metals, heat-resistant alloys, stainless steels, and cast materials. The ISCAR IC900 material grade is optimized for these demanding work materials, indicated by primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S. It is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool with right-hand flute direction. The regular length classification makes it a standard choice for general-purpose milling tasks where extended reach is not required. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals will find it a practical fit for both production runs and precision prototype work.
Compatible with workpiece materials classified under codes H, K, M, P, and S, which correspond to hardened materials, cast iron, stainless steel, steel, and superalloys respectively. Fits standard 3/16-inch collet chucks and tool holders with straight-cylindrical shank acceptance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the tool holder and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against the applicable cutting data for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Never exceed the tool's rated length of cut range of 0.3000 to 0.5000 inches to avoid tool deflection or breakage.
