The ISCAR 5620516 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal removal in CNC milling applications. With a 6.7 mm cutting diameter, 3-flute geometry, and a 38-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance. The TiAlN coating extends tool life in demanding conditions and supports higher cutting temperatures. At 63 mm overall length with an 8 mm Weldon Flat shank, this stub-length end mill offers rigidity for tight-tolerance work. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard. Material grade IC900 designates this as an ISCAR-specific carbide substrate suited to a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on materials classified under workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S — which correspond to hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, general steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. The stub length configuration makes it appropriate for applications requiring maximum rigidity and reduced overhang, such as shallow pocket milling, profiling, and face contouring on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 8 mm Weldon Flat shank seats securely in a side-lock holder, making setup straightforward for production environments.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with CNC toolholder setup and torque procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the controller is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon Flat shank fully into the side-lock holder and engage the set screw against the flat to prevent pullout under cutting load. Verify runout with a dial indicator after setup, and confirm tool data offsets are updated in the controller before commencing a cut.
