The ISCAR 5620369 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining applications. With a 0.375-inch cutting diameter and a 1-inch length of cut, this single-end tool features four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The submicron carbide grade substrate is finished with a TiAlN coating, providing heat and wear resistance suited to elevated cutting temperatures and abrasive workpiece materials. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians working in job shops, production machining facilities, and tool rooms.
The ISCAR 5620369 is part of the EBI-A-4 series and is rated for use across multiple workpiece material categories, including hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steels, and high-temperature superalloys, corresponding to ISO material codes H, K, M, P, and S. It is well suited for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers requiring a reliable ball-profile finish on complex contours, cavities, and slotting operations where right-hand cutting direction is standard. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits ER collets and other standard toolholders common to vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide ball end mill replacement suitable for standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic toolholders accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter. Rated for ISO workpiece material codes H, K, M, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine fully stopped and the spindle locked. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended gauge-line depth before tightening to prevent runout. Always verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against the applicable ISCAR EBI-A-4 series cutting data before commencing a new operation. Proper coolant or lubrication strategy should be confirmed with the machine operator and tooling data sheet for the workpiece material being cut.
