The ISCAR 5607686 is a round, double-sided milling insert designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Manufactured from submicron solid carbide and finished with a multilayer PVD coating — TiAlN, AlTiN, and TiN — this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a wide range of workpiece materials. It belongs to the HELIDO series and carries ANSI and ISO 13399 compliance. The insert measures 0.510 inches in inscribed circle diameter and 0.236 inches thick, with a 0.250-inch corner radius and a maximum depth of cut of 0.255 inches. Six cutting edges and a T-Land cutting edge style make this insert well-suited for productivity-focused milling operations on CNC machining centers.
This insert is intended for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. The AXT chip breaker geometry and negative rake angle support stable cutting action under moderate to heavy chip loads. It is held in place by a screw-type clamping method and is designed for right-hand cutting. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and contour milling in aerospace, die-mold, and general metalworking environments. Licensed machinists and CNC setup technicians are the primary installers of this insert type.
Designed for use with the ISCAR HELIDO H606 FR.50 cutter series. ANSI code H606 RXCU 43-AXT IC808; ISO code H606 RXCU 43-AXT. Insert size code 43.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Before changing inserts, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to seat and torque the clamping screw; do not overtighten or undertighten the screw clamp. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and runout performance.
