Product Description

The ISCAR 5607216 is a high feed end replaceable milling tip engineered for use in demanding metal removal applications. Part of the MM EFF series within the FeedMill/Multimaster platform, this carbide tip features a 16.00 mm (0.6300 inch) cutting diameter and a maximum depth of cut of 0.8 mm (0.031 inch). The IC908 sub-micrograin carbide grade is coated with TiAlN via a PVD process, delivering hardness and heat resistance at elevated feed rates. Four flutes and a 97-degree lead angle support aggressive chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability is included. This tip is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.

The ISCAR 5607216 is suited for high feed milling operations across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, H). Its right-hand cut orientation and MM EFF style make it appropriate for use in toolholders designed around the Multimaster exchangeable-tip system. Typical applications include face milling, ramping, and high feed roughing passes where radial depth is limited but feed rates are maximized to maintain productivity.

Key Features

  • IC908 sub-micrograin carbide grade with PVD TiAlN coating for wear resistance at high cutting speeds
  • 4 flutes with a 97-degree lead angle optimized for high feed rate strategies
  • Maximum depth of cut of 0.8 mm (0.031 inch) supports controlled high-feed passes
  • Coolant-through design for improved chip evacuation and thermal management
  • Compatible with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials
  • Right-hand cut with no chipbreaker; 48-degree chamfer angle for edge strength

Compatibility

Designed for use with Multimaster and FeedMill MM EFF series toolholders that accept the MM EFF160T5R2.2-4T10H tip style. Meets ANSI standards. Confirm toolholder interface compatibility before ordering.

Installation Notes

This tip is replaced by trained machinists or CNC tooling technicians using the appropriate Multimaster torque key - consult the toolholder documentation for correct tightening procedure. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing any milling insert or replaceable tip. Verify the mating toolholder interface is clean and free of chips or damage before seating the tip. Follow the machine tool builder and toolholder manufacturer guidelines for maximum spindle speed and feed rate programming.
