Product Description

The ISCAR 5606328 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for use in HM90-15 series milling cutters as part of the HELI2000 system. Carrying the IC808 manufacturer grade, this insert features a multilayer Sumotec PVD coating — TiAlN, AlTiN, and TiN — applied to a submicron carbide substrate for wear resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting applications. The insert style is ADKT with a parallelogram shape, a positive rake geometry, and a honed cutting edge. It provides two cutting edges per insert and is held in the cutter body by a screw clamp method. Thickness is 0.23 inches and the inscribed circle diameter is 0.38 inches.

This insert is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and general-purpose metal removal across a range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The PDR chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation in these applications. Installation Notes
