The ISCAR 5606036 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI designation H600 WXCU 080612T IC810. It belongs to the HELI6FEED series and is designed for high-feed face milling applications in steel and cast iron. The insert features a trigon (80-degree included angle) WXCU style with a negative rake geometry and a T-Land cutting edge style that improves edge stability under aggressive feed rates. The IC810 grade uses a PVD-applied AlTiCrN plus TiN Sumotec coating for thermal resistance and wear life. With six usable cutting edges on a double-sided body, the insert delivers a low cost-per-edge ratio for production milling environments. Licensed HVAC and mechanical trades working with fabricated steel components will recognize the insert as a shop-floor consumable installed and replaced by machinists and tooling technicians.
This insert is suited for milling steel and cast iron workpieces in both roughing and semi-finishing passes where high feed rates and shallow axial depths are employed. The right-hand configuration and screw-clamping holding method make it compatible with standard FWX cutter bodies in the HELI6FEED series. The 0 degree relief angle and negative rake geometry provide the edge strength needed when cutting harder ferrous materials at elevated chip loads. Applications span general machining shops, production facilities, and job shops processing P-code steel and K-code cast iron components.
Designed for use with FWX cutter bodies in the ISCAR HELI6FEED series. Primary workpiece materials are steel (ISO material code P) and cast iron (ISO material code K). Conforms to ANSI and ISO 13399 standards with ANSI code H600 WXCU 080612T IC810 and ISO code H600 WXCU 080612T.
Insert replacement is performed by machinists or tooling technicians following the cutter body manufacturer torque and clamping specifications for screw-held inserts. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage before installing a new insert. Handle solid carbide inserts with care to avoid chipping the cutting edges during installation.
