The ISCAR 5603755 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI designation HP ADCR 220704PDFR-P IC28. It belongs to the HELIPLUS series and is designed for high-performance milling of non-ferrous metals. The insert features a parallelogram shape with an 85-degree included angle, a positive rake geometry, and a sharp cutting edge style that promotes clean, low-force cutting. Manufacturer grade IC28 is an uncoated (bright finish) solid carbide grade classified for C5 and C6 material groups. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.866 inches and two cutting edges per insert, it delivers efficient metal removal in demanding milling applications. Installation is by screw-holding method into compatible toolholders.
This insert is intended for milling non-ferrous metals such as aluminum alloys and copper-based materials. It is sized to the 220704 insert size code with a body thickness of 0.378 inches and a width of 0.197 inches. The P chip breaker geometry and right-hand cutting orientation make it suited for shoulder and profile milling passes where chip control and surface finish are priorities. Compatible cutter series is the HP .90-22 platform. It is a single-sided insert, so each insert provides two usable cutting edges before replacement. This insert is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use with the HP .90-22 cutter series. Insert size code 220704 with right-hand orientation. Verify toolholder seat geometry and screw specifications before installation.
Milling inserts of this type are installed and replaced by machining professionals or toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before handling or indexing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer when tightening the insert clamping screw — do not over-torque. Inspect the insert pocket seat for chips or debris before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
