The ISCAR 5603616 is a polycrystalline diamond (PCD) milling insert with ANSI designation LNAR 110604PN-R-S, grade ID5. Designed for the TANGMILL series, this butterfly-profile insert mounts via screw-holding in right-hand cutter bodies and is built for high-performance milling of non-ferrous metals. The insert is uncoated with a sharp cutting edge, a negative rake angle of 18 degrees, and a corner radius of 0.0157 inches (1/64 inch). With a maximum depth of cut of 0.197 inches and a single active cutting edge per side, this insert delivers precise, consistent results in demanding production environments. It is installed by machinists and tool-room professionals working with aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials.
This insert is intended for milling applications involving non-ferrous metals in both production and job-shop settings. It is compatible with ISCAR F90LN series cutter bodies and is suited for 90-degree shoulder milling operations where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical. The double-sided insert body design and screw-mount holding method provide secure, repeatable positioning. The TANGMILL platform is commonly used in high-speed face milling and shoulder milling of aluminum components in aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing applications.
Designed for use with ISCAR F90LN series cutter bodies in the TANGMILL platform. Insert size code 110604 with inscribed circle of 0.236 inches and length of 0.4374 inches. Right-hand cutting orientation. Verify cutter body seat geometry and screw torque specifications per the cutter body documentation before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer to secure the insert screw — do not over-tighten or substitute fasteners. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for debris or damage before installing a new insert.
