The ISCAR 5603545 is a chamfer replaceable milling tip designed for use in the Multimaster (MM HCD) modular tooling system. Manufactured from sub-micrograin carbide with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, this tip carries the IC908 manufacturer grade and delivers reliable performance in demanding milling applications. It features a 90-degree lead angle with a 45-degree chamfer angle and a 140-degree included angle. The cutting diameter is 0.059 inches, with a maximum depth of cut of 0.217 inches and a functional length of 0.610 inches. Installation is handled by machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This tip is suited for chamfering operations across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is a right-hand cut configuration with no chipbreaker geometry. Typical applications include chamfering edges on machined components in production environments where consistent geometry and tool-change efficiency are priorities. The MM HCD modular system allows tip replacement without removing the holder from the spindle, reducing downtime on the shop floor.
Designed for use with the ISCAR Multimaster MM HCD modular milling system. Tip designation MM HCD124-090-2T08 identifies the specific holder interface and geometry for this series. Verify holder compatibility using the ISCAR Multimaster coupling system documentation before installation.
Installation and replacement of Multimaster tips should be performed by qualified machinists following the machine tool manufacturer lockout and energy isolation procedures before any tooling change. Use the appropriate ISCAR torque key or tip-clamp tool specified for the MM HCD coupling interface. Do not exceed the spindle speed or feed rate parameters listed in the ISCAR Multimaster catalog for this tip designation. Inspect the mating coupling surfaces for wear or contamination before seating the replacement tip.
