The ISCAR 5602577 is a solid carbide milling insert in the CHAMMILL series, designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Carrying the IC908 manufacturer grade and a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, this insert delivers thermal and wear resistance suited to aggressive cutting conditions. The round insert style R90CW 43-T features a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a thickness of 0.213 inches, and a maximum depth of cut of 0.25 inches. Eight cutting edges and a positive rake geometry improve chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces. A T-Land cutting edge style adds edge stability when cutting hard or abrasive workpiece materials. Installed using a screw-holding method, this insert is compatible with ECM, ER-M, and ERCM cutter bodies.
This insert is intended for use in milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials — ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H. It is well-suited for production machining environments where insert consistency and tool life are critical. The neutral hand orientation allows flexible positioning in compatible cutter bodies. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing facilities are the primary installers of this insert.
Designed for use with ISCAR CHAMMILL series cutter bodies compatible with ECM, ER-M, and ERCM cutter series. Intended for 43-size round insert pockets with screw-type insert holding.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer when tightening the clamping screw — do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for debris or damage before seating a new insert.
