The ISCAR 5602380 is a square-shaped solid carbide milling insert carrying the ISO designation SEKR 1203AFN-76 in grade IC928. It is designed for use in face and shoulder milling operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. The insert measures 0.5000 inches in both length and width, with a thickness of 0.1250 inches, and delivers a maximum depth of cut of 0.2560 inches. The IC928 grade features a PVD-applied TiAlN coating that provides thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting speeds. With four cutting edges and a neutral hand orientation, the insert is suited for high-productivity indexable tooling setups in production machining environments.
This insert is intended for use in CNC milling centers and machining centers handling ferrous and exotic alloy materials in both roughing and semi-finishing applications. It is part of the ISCARMILL series and is compatible with the F45E cutter series. The 76 chip breaker geometry and positive rake configuration support efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces, making it well-suited for milling structural steel, austenitic stainless grades, and nickel-based superalloys or titanium alloys. It is typically installed and indexed by machining professionals and tooling setup technicians.
Compatible with the F45E cutter series from the ISCARMILL line. The ANSI equivalent designation is SEKR 42AFN-76 IC928. Conforms to ANSI and ISO 13399 insert standards. Suitable for use in holders and bodies designed for SEKR-style square inserts with a 0.5000 inch inscribed circle.
Indexable milling inserts are installed and indexed by qualified machining technicians using the appropriate torque wrench and clamping screws specified by the cutter body manufacturer. Ensure the cutter body and spindle are fully de-energized and locked out before handling inserts. Inspect the insert pocket seating surface for chips or debris before seating a new insert. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut or feed rate parameters recommended for the cutter body being used.
