The ISCAR 5600034 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI designation ADMM 150308-88 IC50M. It is a parallelogram-shaped, single-sided insert designed for use in HELIMILL series milling cutters. The insert features a positive rake geometry with a honed cutting edge, an 85-degree included angle, a 15-degree relief angle, and a 0.0315-inch corner radius. Grade IC50M is an uncoated (bright) solid carbide grade rated at Material Grade C6, suited for demanding milling applications in steel and stainless steel. The insert measures 0.5906 inches in length, 0.3748 inches wide, and 0.1252 inches thick, and is secured by screw holding. It is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This insert is intended for right-hand milling operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces, corresponding to ISO material codes P and M. It is used in HELIMILL series milling cutter bodies that accept ADMM 150308 style inserts. With a maximum depth of cut and cutting edge effective length both at 0.5906 inches, the insert suits medium to heavy milling passes in production and job-shop environments. The chip breaker designation is 88. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and pocket milling in ferrous materials on both CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Designed for use in ISCAR HELIMILL series milling cutter bodies that accept ADMM 150308 style inserts. Primary workpiece materials are steel and stainless steel (ISO material codes P and M).
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer to seat and torque the clamping screw; do not over-tighten, as solid carbide inserts are brittle and can crack under excessive clamping force. Inspect the insert pocket seating surface and clamping screw for wear or debris before installing a new insert.
