The ISCAR 5595469 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes. Carrying the IC907 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN multilayer coating, this insert delivers thermal resistance and edge integrity at elevated cutting speeds. The 80-degree diamond (CNGG) geometry with a positive rake angle promotes free-cutting action and reduces cutting forces. At 0.5102 inches in length with a 1/2-inch inscribed circle, it fits standard CNGG-style toolholders using clamp and pin holding methods. A 1/32-inch corner radius (0.0315 inches) balances edge strength with surface finish quality. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in high-production turning cells.
This insert is part of the ISCAR Isoturn series and is engineered for turning hardened materials, stainless steels, superalloys, and a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials corresponding to ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S. It is suited for both roughing and semi-finishing passes where consistent chip control is required. The TF chip breaker geometry manages chip formation across variable feed rates, making it appropriate for both general-purpose turning and demanding aerospace or energy-sector component work where material grades C7 and C8 are specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production insert for CNGG 432-style toolholders within the ISCAR Isoturn series. Compatible with ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S workpiece materials. Conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is indexed to a safe position before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamp hardware specified for the toolholder to secure the insert without cracking the carbide substrate. Inspect the insert seat and chip breaker area for debris before seating the new insert.
