The ISCAR 5595051 is a DCMT-style indexable turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the IC907 manufacturer grade, a solid carbide substrate with a TiAlN and TiN PVD coating applied for heat resistance and extended tool life. The insert features a 55-degree diamond shape with a positive rake geometry and a PF chip breaker, producing controlled chip flow across a range of workpiece materials. At 0.4567 inches in length with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 1/64-inch corner radius, it suits finish to medium turning operations where dimensional accuracy is critical.
The 5595051 fits screw-held DCMT toolholders and is suited for turning applications in aerospace, general machining, and stainless steel work environments. The IC907 grade with PVD coating performs across multiple ISO material groups including steel, stainless, cast iron, non-ferrous, and superalloys. The Isoturn series is intended for external and internal turning profiles where a positive-rake, low-cutting-force geometry reduces chatter and deflection. Licensed machinists and CNC setup technicians are the primary installers. Package quantity is 1 insert; minimum order quantity is 10 units.
Designed for use in screw-held DCMT-style turning toolholders. Compatible with workpiece material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S per ISO designation, covering hardened steel, cast iron, general steel, non-ferrous, carbon steel, and superalloys. Material grades C7 and C8 apply. Part of the ISCAR Isoturn series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Before indexing or replacing inserts, the machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out per applicable shop safety procedures. Use the appropriate torque wrench and manufacturer-specified screw to seat the insert in the toolholder pocket — do not over-tighten or substitute fasteners. Inspect the insert seat and clamping screw for wear or damage before seating a new insert.
