The insert measures 0.3051 inches in length with a 0.25 inch inscribed circle, a 0.0938 inch thickness, and a 0.0079 inch corner radius. The AS chip breaker geometry and positive rake angle promote free-cutting action. The 5594967 belongs to ISCAR's Isoturn series and is suited for universal workpiece materials with ISO material codes M, N, and S, covering stainless steels, non-ferrous materials, and heat-resistant superalloys. Turning insert replacement is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Before indexing or replacing an insert, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped, the program is held, and the turret or tool post is in a safe position. Use the correct torque screwdriver specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the clamping screw — do not over-torque, as this can fracture the insert or damage the seating pocket. Inspect the insert pocket and locating pin for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
