The ISCAR 5568352 is a carbide replaceable tip drill in the ICP series, designed for high-productivity hole-making in metalworking applications. The drill features a solid carbide tip with an IC908 submicron grade and a PVD-applied TiAlN/TiN finish for extended tool life and heat resistance. It operates at a 1.185 inch cutting diameter with a 140-degree drill point angle and a slow spiral, two-flute configuration. The honed cutting edge and web-thinned point reduce entry forces and improve chip evacuation. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC drilling operations on ferrous and hard materials.
The ICP1185 IC908 replaceable tip drill is suited for drilling operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. The replaceable tip design allows tip indexing without removing the drill body from the spindle, reducing downtime in production environments. With an insert seat size of 30 and a functional length of 0.503 inches, it is configured for rigid, short-reach drilling setups in milling machines and machining centers where consistent hole quality in challenging workpiece materials is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replaceable tip for ISCAR ICP series drill bodies with an insert seat size of 30, conforming to ISO number ICP 301. Compatible workpiece materials include steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), super-alloys and titanium (S), and hard materials (H) per ISO material classification.
Installation and tip replacement should be performed by qualified machinists following the machine tool manufacturer lockout and spindle-stop procedures before handling any insert or tip component. Use the correct ISCAR torque key for the twist-lock insert holding method to ensure proper seating of the replaceable tip. Do not exceed the recommended cutting parameters for the IC908 grade as published in the ISCAR tooling catalog for the specific workpiece material. Coolant-through is not available on this configuration, so external coolant or minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) should be directed at the cutting zone to manage heat.
