The ISCAR 5568160 is a carbide replaceable tip drill in the FCP series, designed for precision hole-making in ferrous and hard materials. Carrying the IC908 grade submicron solid carbide tip with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, this insert delivers consistent performance in demanding cutting applications. The tip measures 0.764 inches in cutting diameter with a functional length of 0.256 inches and an overall height of 0.283 inches. The 140-degree included angle and web-thinned point geometry reduce entry force and improve centering. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators install this style of replaceable tip to extend spindle utilization and reduce per-hole tooling cost.
This replaceable tip drill is suited for machining steel, cast iron, stainless steel, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. The flat-bottom style and slow spiral flute configuration make it appropriate for stable, controlled drilling cycles on CNC machining centers and lathes with live tooling. Primary workpiece material codes are P and K, with secondary applications in M, S, and H material groups per ISO classification. The FCP series insert seat size 19 hosts the tip, and the ISO number for this tip is FCP 194. No through-coolant is required, though flood or mist coolant at the external supply is standard practice for these material groups.
Designed for use with ISCAR FCP series drill bodies accepting insert seat size 19. ISO number FCP 194 identifies the seat interface. Verify body seat size before ordering.
Replaceable tip drills of this type are installed and changed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tip. Use the correct ISCAR torx or hex key for the twist-lock holding method to ensure full tip engagement without over-torquing the seat interface. Follow the machine tool builder and ISCAR tooling assembly instructions; improper seating can cause runout, premature tip failure, or workpiece damage.
