The ISCAR 5568107 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill in the FCP series, designed for high-productivity drilling in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. The tip features a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, a thinned 140-degree drill point, and a TiAlN PVD coating applied via physical vapor deposition for extended wear resistance. The slow spiral flute geometry and flat bottom style make this tip well suited for controlled chip evacuation in demanding ferrous and exotic material applications. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in precision machining environments are the primary installers.
This replaceable tip is used in drilling operations across general metalworking, aerospace, and heavy manufacturing where consistent hole quality in steel (ISO P), cast iron (ISO K), stainless steel (ISO M), super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO S and H) is required. The FCP series system uses a twist-lock insert holding method, allowing fast tip changes at the machine without removing the drill body from the spindle. The flat bottom geometry supports flat-entry and shoulder-style drilling applications where a conventional conical point is not acceptable.
Designed as an OEM-style replaceable tip for ISCAR FCP series drill bodies accepting ISO number FCP 127, insert seat size 12, with a P-geometry insert seat. Verify body series and seat size before ordering.
Replaceable carbide drill tips should be installed and removed by a qualified machinist following the tool manufacturer's torque and clamping procedure for the FCP body. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before tip replacement. Inspect the insert seat and seating surfaces for chips or debris before seating the new tip. Do not use damaged or worn drill bodies, as improper seating can cause tip ejection or workpiece damage.
