The ISCAR 5567935 is a carbide replaceable tip drill in the HCP-IQ series, designed for high-productivity hole-making in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. The tip is manufactured from submicron solid carbide in grade IC908 and carries a PVD-applied TiAlN coating for heat resistance and edge durability. The self-centering, 140-degree drill point eliminates the need for a pilot hole and promotes accurate entry without walking. With a slow spiral flute configuration and web-thinned point geometry, this insert is engineered for stable chip evacuation in demanding deep-hole drilling applications. It is installed and serviced by machinists and tool-crib technicians in CNC machining environments.
The 5567935 tip is suited for drilling steel and cast iron as primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in stainless steel, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. The HCP-IQ series targets deep-hole and self-centering drilling scenarios on CNC lathes and machining centers where consistent tool life and repeatable hole quality are critical. The replaceable-tip design reduces tooling cost by allowing the carbide insert to be swapped at the machine without removing the holder body from the spindle.
Designed as a replaceable tip insert for HCP-IQ series drill bodies using insert seat size 9. Compatible with holders conforming to ISO number HCP 096-IQ. Verify seat size and series designation on the holder body before installation.
Replaceable tip drills of this type are installed and indexed by qualified machinists following the drill body manufacturer's torque and seating procedure for the twist-lock interface. Power down and lock out the spindle before removing or seating the tip. Inspect the insert pocket and locating surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new tip, as contamination will affect runout and hole quality. Follow the drill body manufacturer's clamping instructions; do not substitute fasteners or exceed the recommended clamping method for the twist-lock seat.
