The ISCAR 5567928 is a replaceable drill tip from the HCP-IQ series, designed for use in modular indexable drill systems. This solid carbide tip features a 0.3430-inch (8.71 mm) cutting diameter, a 134-degree self-centering point angle, and a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process. The IC908 submicron carbide grade delivers toughness and wear resistance when drilling through steel, cast iron, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. With two helical flutes and a web-thinned geometry, the tip reduces entry forces and improves chip evacuation. It is sized to Insert Seat Size 8 and is installed and replaced by machinists and tool-crib technicians in production and job-shop environments.

This tip is suited for hole making, chamfering, and general drilling operations in metalworking applications. Primary target materials are steel (ISO P) and cast iron (ISO K), with secondary capability in stainless steel (ISO M), superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO S and H). Installation Notes

This tip is installed by qualified machinists or tool-crib personnel using the clamp-holding method specified for HCP-IQ series drill bodies. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a vise or tool holder before removing or seating the tip. Confirm the seat and tip seating surfaces are clean and free of chips before clamping. Do not use this tip in coolant-through drill bodies requiring internal coolant delivery, as this tip does not support through-coolant flow.
