The ISCAR 5567901 is a carbide replaceable tip drill in the HCP-IQ series, designed for precision hole-making in ferrous materials. The drill tip is manufactured from solid carbide in the IC908 submicron grade and coated with TiAlN via a PVD process, providing thermal resistance and edge durability at elevated cutting speeds. With a cutting diameter of 0.874 inches and a self-centering 138-degree drill point angle, the 5567901 delivers accurate hole entry without a center punch or pilot hole. Two slow-spiral flutes support chip evacuation in deep-hole drilling applications. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists install and qualify this tip for production drilling operations.
The 5567901 is suited for drilling steel and cast iron as its primary workpiece materials, with secondary capability in stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The replaceable tip design fits the HCP-IQ insert seat size 22 system, allowing tip swaps at the machine without removing the tool body from the spindle. This makes it a practical choice for high-volume production environments where minimizing changeover time matters. The web-thinned geometry reduces thrust load at entry, which is particularly useful when drilling into interrupted or pre-drilled surfaces.
Designed for use with the ISCAR HCP-IQ tool body system, insert seat size 22. ISO number HCP 222-IQ. Compatible with primary workpiece materials P (steel) and K (cast iron), and secondary materials M (stainless steel), S (superalloys and titanium), and H (hard materials). Meets ISO 13399 tooling data standards.
Installation of replaceable tip drills should be performed by qualified machinists following the tool body manufacturer's seating and torque procedures. Ensure the spindle and machine are powered down and locked out before tip removal or installation. Confirm the insert seat is clean and free of chips before seating the new tip. This tool does not feature coolant-through capability, so external coolant or minimum quantity lubrication should be applied according to shop practice and material requirements.
