The ISCAR 5567836 is a WNMG432-F3M indexable turning insert in grade IC6025, designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert features a trigon (80-degree included angle) shape with a right-hand cutting orientation and a 0.8 mm corner radius. The IC6025 grade substrate is solid carbide with an MTCVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, which delivers thermal resistance and wear performance suited for medium to finishing cuts on steel and stainless steel workpiece materials. It belongs to the ISCAR Isoturn series and conforms to ISO 13399 standards. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary installers and users of this insert.
This insert is intended for turning applications where a W-style trigon insert is required, particularly on steel and stainless steel components coded as ISO material group M. The F3M chip breaker geometry is suited for finishing to medium-depth passes, with a maximum depth of cut of 1.50 mm (0.059 inches). Typical use cases include shaft turning, facing, and contour operations on CNC turning centers in both job shop and production environments. The 1/2-inch inscribed circle and WNMG 432 size code make it a standard-footprint insert compatible with a wide range of WNMG-style toolholders.
Designed for use in WNMG-style turning toolholders that accept a 432 insert size with a 1/2-inch (12.70 mm) inscribed circle. Best suited for ISO material group M workpieces including stainless steel and heat-resistant alloys. Verify toolholder seat and clamping style before installation.
Insert seating and clamping should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician following the machine tool builder and toolholder manufacturer guidelines. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key torque driver to seat the clamping screw without over-tightening, as this can fracture the carbide substrate. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
