The ISCAR 5567692 is a CNMG 431-F3M turning insert in grade IC6025, designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert is manufactured from solid carbide with a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, providing thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting speeds. The 80-degree diamond shape (Insert Shape Code C) and 0.4 mm corner radius suit medium-duty finishing to semi-finishing passes. The F3M chip breaker geometry is optimized for chip control when cutting stainless steel and similar difficult-to-machine materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, or general metalworking environments use this insert in standard CNMG toolholders.
This insert belongs to the ISCAR Isoturn series and is rated primarily for stainless steel (ISO workpiece material code M), making it suitable for grades such as austenitic and martensitic stainless alloys encountered in medical, food processing, and industrial equipment manufacturing. The maximum depth of cut is 1.5 mm (0.059 inches), placing it in the light-to-medium roughing and finishing range. It fits any CNMG-style toolholder accepting 431-geometry inserts with a standard N clearance angle and M tolerance class.

Insert seating and clamping should be performed with the machine spindle locked and all power isolated from the lathe or turning center. Use the correct torque wrench and manufacturer-specified insert screw to secure the insert in the toolholder pocket without overtightening, which can fracture the carbide. Inspect the pocket seat and clamping components for wear or debris before each insert change. CNC programmers should verify depth-of-cut and feed parameters against the IC6025 grade recommendations for the specific workpiece material prior to running production.
