The ISCAR 5567535 is a carbide replaceable tip drill from the ICP series, designed for high-productivity hole-making in demanding machining environments. The drill tip carries ISCAR grade IC908, a submicron solid carbide grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating that provides thermal resistance and extended tool life. The cutting diameter is 1-3/32 inches (1.0940 inches decimal), and the drill point is ground to a 140-degree included angle with web thinning to reduce thrust force at entry. Two slow-spiral flutes with a honed cutting edge geometry support chip evacuation and surface finish in both through-hole and blind-hole applications. Installation and tip changes are performed by machinists and CNC operators at the machine tool.
The ICP1094 tip is intended for drilling operations in steel as its primary workpiece material, designated ISO material group P. Secondary workpiece materials include stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), super-alloys and titanium (S), and hard materials (H). This makes the tip suitable for job shops and production machining cells that run varied material schedules. The replaceable tip design reduces tooling cost by allowing tip exchange without discarding the shank body. The ISO 13399 standard is observed for tool data representation, supporting integration with CAM and tool-management systems.
The ICP1094 tip is part of the ISCAR ICP series and is sized for insert seat size 27 shanks within the ICP platform. ISO number ICP 278 applies. Confirm shank compatibility with the specific ICP body before ordering.
Replaceable tip drills in the ICP series are installed and torqued by a machinist using the manufacturer-specified wrench for the tip locking mechanism — consult the ISCAR ICP assembly sheet for the correct tool and procedure. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the CNC control is in feed-hold or E-stop before tip changes. Inspect the tip seat and shank bore for chips or damage before seating a new tip; debris on the seat affects runout and can cause premature tip failure. Do not exceed the cutting parameters published in the ISCAR grade IC908 application tables for the workpiece material being machined.
