The ISCAR 5567149 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. This tip carries the IC907 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating, delivering thermal resistance and edge durability in difficult-to-machine workpieces. The drill point features a 140-degree included angle with web thinning for improved centering and reduced thrust. With a cutting diameter of 0.374 inches and a functional length of 0.171 inches, this tip is sized for precision hole-making in applications where tool life and dimensional accuracy are critical. It is installed and serviced by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC and manual drilling operations.
This replaceable tip drill is engineered primarily for stainless steel, superalloy, and titanium workpieces, material codes M and S per ISO classification. Secondary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, and hard materials, corresponding to ISO codes P, K, and H. The slow spiral flute geometry and T-Land style point support chip evacuation and edge stability in these high-strength materials. Typical applications include production drilling on machining centers where tip replacement between operations is preferred over full tool replacement. This tip fits the ICM series drill body at insert seat size 9, ISO number ICM 095.
Designed for use with ISCAR ICM series replaceable tip drill bodies at insert seat size 9, corresponding to ISO number ICM 095. Compatible primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, superalloy, and titanium (ISO material codes M and S). Secondary compatible materials include steel, cast iron, and hard materials (ISO codes P, K, and H).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the drill body is fully de-energized and secured before tip removal or installation. Use the appropriate torque wrench and manufacturer-specified tooling key for the twist-lock interface — do not overtighten by hand or use improvised tools. Inspect the insert seat for chips or contamination before seating the replacement tip to ensure proper clamping and runout performance.
