The ISCAR 5567143 is a replaceable drill tip designed for use with ICM-series modular drill bodies. It features a 0.2950-inch (8.00 mm) cutting diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process. The tip is manufactured from solid submicron carbide in grade IC908, a wear-resistant grade suited for demanding cutting conditions. Insert seat size 7 matches it to the corresponding ICM modular shank. With two helical flutes and a web-thinned geometry, it is engineered for efficient chip evacuation and reduced thrust force during drilling operations. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments are the primary installers.
This replaceable tip is suited for hole-making applications in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium as its primary workpiece materials. Secondary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, and hard materials. It fits within the ICM modular drill platform and is identified by ISO number ICM 075. Typical applications include precision drilling in aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing where consistent hole quality in difficult-to-machine materials is required. The tip is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 2 units.
Designed for use with ISCAR ICM-series modular drill bodies accepting insert seat size 7, identified by ISO number ICM 075. Compatible workpiece materials include stainless steel, superalloys, titanium (primary), as well as steel, cast iron, and hard materials (secondary). Conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards.
Installation of replaceable drill tips should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a vise or tool holder before tip removal or installation. Verify the insert seat is clean and free of chips or debris before seating the new tip, as contamination can affect runout and cutting performance. Follow the tool manufacturer's clamping procedure for ICM-series tips to ensure proper seating and secure retention.
