The ISCAR 5567119 is a carbide replaceable tip drill designed for high-productivity hole-making in ferrous and hard materials. Built on the ICP series platform, this tip uses IC908 grade solid submicron carbide with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating for heat and wear resistance at the cutting edge. The included angle measures 140 degrees with a web-thinned, honed cutting edge geometry that reduces entry thrust and promotes clean chip formation. It fits an ICP insert seat size 31 and carries ISO number ICP 3175. Cutting diameter is 1.2500 inches (31.75 mm) and overall height is 0.7720 inches (19.61 mm). Licensed machinists and tool-room technicians are the typical end users.
This replaceable tip drill is suited for production drilling operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, titanium, and hard materials. The slow spiral flute type and twist insert holding method make it appropriate for applications where chip evacuation and tip rigidity are priorities. It conforms to ISO 13399 standards, making it compatible with tool assembly and presetter software that supports that schema. Typical applications include structural steel fabrication, aerospace component machining, and general metalworking where a consistent, renewable drill tip is preferred over a brazed or solid one-piece tool.
Designed for use with ISCAR ICP series drill bodies accepting insert seat size 31. Confirmed compatible workpiece materials include steel (ISO P), stainless steel (ISO M), cast iron (ISO K), super-alloys and titanium (ISO S), and hard materials (ISO H).
Installation of replaceable tip drills should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician following the machine tool manufacturer and ISCAR assembly guidelines. Ensure the drill body bore and tip seating surfaces are clean and free of chips or debris before seating the tip. Torque the tip using the appropriate ISCAR torque key to the value specified in the current ISCAR ICP series catalog. This tool does not feature coolant-through capability, so adequate external or flood coolant supply should be confirmed before running in heat-sensitive materials.
