The ISCAR 5566847 is a solid carbide turning insert in the WNMG432F3P geometry, part of the Isoturn series. It is a trigon-shaped, double-ended insert with an 80-degree included angle, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch (0.0313-inch) corner radius. The insert measures 8.71 mm (0.343 inches) in length and 3/16 inch (0.1875 inches) thick. It carries a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, TiCN, and TiN under the IC8150 manufacturer grade. Licensed machinists, CNC operators, and tooling technicians install this insert in compatible turning toolholders for external and internal turning operations on lathes.

This insert is designed for turning operations on cast iron and steel workpieces, corresponding to ISO material codes K and P.
