It carries the IC908 grade designation with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, making it suited for cutting stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The cutting diameter is 0.264 inches, the drill point features a 140-degree included angle with a thinned web point, and the spiral configuration is a slow spiral with a T-Land style geometry. With two flutes and a web-thinned construction, this tip delivers controlled chip flow and reduced thrust in difficult-to-machine workpiece materials. Replaceable carbide drill tips require a correctly sized and undamaged tool body seat before installation. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before tip removal or installation. Use the appropriate torque wrench or insert key specified for the ICM series holder to seat the tip securely without over-torquing the carbide. Inspect the insert seat for chips or debris that could affect seating and runout before each tip change.
