The ISCAR 5508572 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill designed for precision hole-making in demanding machining environments. Part of the ICP series, this tip features an IC908 submicron carbide grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating for extended tool life and thermal resistance at the cutting edge. The drill point is ground to a 140-degree included angle with web thinning and a honed cutting edge for improved chip formation and reduced thrust load. With a cutting diameter of 0.673 inches and a functional length of 0.29 inches, it suits short-reach drilling operations where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical.

This replaceable tip is intended for use in CNC machining centers and turning centers performing drilling operations on steel as its primary workpiece material.
