The ISCAR 5508310 is a solid carbide replaceable tip drill insert in the ICP series, designed for use with compatible modular drill bodies in metalcutting applications. This insert features a TiAlN PVD coating applied over a submicron carbide substrate in manufacturer grade IC908, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability during high-speed drilling. The 140-degree drill point angle and helical flute geometry promote chip evacuation and clean entry in ferrous workpiece materials. The insert is clamped into the drill body seat and is sized for an 8mm seat. It is installed by tool and die technicians, machinists, and CNC operators working in production and job-shop environments.
