The ISCAR 5508001 is a CNMG642NR-style indexable turning insert in the Isoturn series, manufactured from solid carbide with a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN. The IC8350 grade is engineered for turning operations on stainless steel and steel workpieces. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape (CNMG style), a 0.75-inch inscribed circle, a corner radius of 0.031 inches, and a maximum depth of cut of 0.315 inches. It is held in place via clamp or pin and carries ISO 13399 compliance. Licensed machinists and CNC setup technicians install this insert on compatible toolholders for external and boring turning applications.
