The ISCAR 5507822 is a CNMG 431-NF indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide with a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN. Part of the Isoturn series, this insert is designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The 80-degree diamond shape (C) with a neutral 0-degree relief angle (N) and M-tolerance class delivers consistent dimensional accuracy across indexed edges. The NF chip breaker geometry supports positive-rake cutting action, making it well suited for finishing and light roughing passes on ferrous workpiece materials.

This insert is primarily rated for stainless steel (ISO material code M) and steel (ISO material code P) applications. The Isoturn series is a general-purpose turning platform used in production and job-shop environments on both vertical and horizontal turning centers. The multi-use designation also qualifies this insert for boring operations.
