The ISCAR 5507750 is a CNMG432TF indexable turning insert in the IC807 manufacturer grade, designed for general-purpose and high-performance external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN coating over a solid carbide substrate, delivering strong wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. The 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape provides a rigid, high-strength cutting geometry suited to medium and finishing passes. Key dimensional parameters include a 0.5 inch (1/2 inch) inscribed circle, an insert length of 12.90 mm (0.5079 inches), a thickness of 3/16 inch (0.1874 inches), and a corner radius of 1/32 inch (0.0315 inches). The TF chip breaker geometry supports positive rake cutting action. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary installers and operators of this insert.
The ISCAR 5507750 is suited for turning applications across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), heat-resistant superalloys (S), and hardened materials (H), as indicated by the primary workpiece material codes P, M, K, S, and H. It fits standard CNMG-style toolholders that accept a 0.203 inch hole diameter and is compatible with both clamp and pin insert-holding methods. Maximum depth of cut is 4.00 mm (0.1575 inches). The Isoturn series designation indicates compatibility with ISCAR Isoturn toolholder families designed around CNMG geometry.

Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine in a full stop, powered-down state and with the spindle locked. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamp screw driver as specified by the toolholder manufacturer for seating the insert securely. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or wear before seating a new insert. Handle carbide inserts carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edges prior to use.
