The ISCAR 5507735 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for use in CNC and conventional lathe operations. Manufactured to the CNMG style with an 80-degree diamond shape, this insert carries ISCAR grade IC5010 and features a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN. The coating stack provides wear resistance and thermal stability during continuous and interrupted cuts. The insert measures 12.9 mm (0.508 inches) in length with a 0.5 inch inscribed circle and a 1/32 inch (0.031 inch) corner radius. It is held in place by clamp or pin, and the NR chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation across a range of feed rates. CNC machinists and toolroom operators install this insert in compatible CNMG toolholders.

This insert is suited for turning applications on cast iron and similar ISO K workpiece materials, including gray cast iron, ductile iron, and hardened ferrous materials. Installation Notes
